Cookies
What cookies this site uses
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. This site uses as few as it can.
Cookies we cannot do without. These are set on every visit, because the site does not work without them:
- A session cookie, which remembers you between one page and the next — it is what keeps you signed in to a course.
- A security token, which proves that a form was submitted from this site and not from somewhere pretending to be it.
Neither of these tracks you across other websites, and neither is used for advertising. They expire when you close your browser or shortly after.
Analytics and advertising
This site can also load measurement tools from Google, Meta and TikTok, to understand which pages people find useful and how visitors reach us.
We ask first, and nothing loads until you say yes. If any of these tools are set up, a notice appears at the bottom of the page the first time you visit, with two equally available answers. Decline and none of them are loaded at all — not loaded and blocked, but never requested. Accept and we remember that for six months, then ask again.
If none of these tools are set up — which is the case unless we have entered an ID for one — no notice appears, because there would be nothing to ask you about. The two essential cookies above are all this site sets.
These tools see technical browsing information: the pages you view, roughly where you are, and what browser you use. They never receive what you type into a form. Your enquiry, your registration and your booking details go only to us.
Changed your mind? Clear this site's cookies in your browser and the question will be asked again on your next visit.
Managing cookies
Every major browser lets you see the cookies a site has stored, delete them, and refuse new ones. Look for "Privacy" or "Site settings" in your browser's preferences.
Blocking the two essential cookies above will stop you signing in to a course or submitting a form, because the site will not be able to tell one request from another.
