Accessibility

Agora works on access and inclusion, so a website that some people cannot use would be a poor advertisement for us. We have built this site to be usable with a keyboard alone, with a screen reader, and at large text sizes, in both Arabic and English.

• Every page has a single main heading and a sensible heading structure beneath it, so a screen reader can move through it.
• Every image carries a text description, and images that convey nothing are marked as decorative.
• Every form field has a label attached to it, and errors are described in words rather than by colour alone.
• The whole site can be operated by keyboard, and the element you are on is always visibly outlined.
• A "skip to content" link lets you jump past the navigation.
• Arabic pages are laid out right to left throughout, not merely translated.
• Text sits on backgrounds with enough contrast to be read, and the layout works down to small phone screens.

We would rather tell you than have you find out:

• Some course materials are PDFs. A PDF supplied by an author may not be tagged for screen readers, and we cannot always fix that. Ask us and we will provide the content another way.
• Documents and images provided by partners may not meet the same standard as the rest of the site.
• This site has not been audited by an independent accessibility specialist. What is described above is our own testing.
