About Agora
Founded in Cairo in 2025, Agora for Cultural Development is a specialised cultural development and advisory organisation working across Egypt, the Arab region and Africa. We support organisations, partners, practitioners and communities through research and policy work, programme design, capacity building, knowledge production, and participatory cultural and heritage practice.
Story and experience
Agora is led by Tahra Tarek, a cultural manager, researcher and trainer. The organisation draws on its founder's 15+ years of experience working with local and regional cultural and development organisations and initiatives across Egypt and the Arab region.
